We’re so happy to kick off another season of Garden of the Month winners with a visit to Ann Washington’s yard at 2679 Ravine Way. A gardener her entire adult life who has lived at the home for 30 years, her experience and expertise are evident at every turn.
She has created many garden spaces, including one that surrounds a large tree, another near the driveway and two borders of daylilies that run from the curb to the house on each side of the property. Not only does she know her way around plants, but she’s handy in other ways, too. She built the window box by her front window that is filled with her favorite flower — geraniums.
Thanks for the first burst of color of the summer as our June Garden of the Month winner, Ann, and for making Allouez beautiful.

Please join us in congratulating Linda and Jeff Gleason of 910 Floral Drive as our second Garden of the Month winners for June.
Their beautifully manicured yard features many colorful planters and hanging baskets, along with family treasures tucked in throughout. Among them are the hens and chicks planted in the boots of Linda’s father, Roland Murphy, who developed much of the land in the area.
Linda originally lived in the house when it was first built from 1989 to 1993 and returned to it with Jeff in 2020. They wasted little time in transforming the front yard, which included just two trees, with inviting landscaping. They added plantings to both the front and side yards and replaced the deck with a patio. Their yard is also a welcoming space for birds with plentiful feeders.
Nicely done, Linda and Jeff!
